Cellulose acetate has excellent thermal properties and is autoclavable to 125°C (must be wet when autoclaved). Has superior resistance to alcohol & oil & can even be used in short term contact with methyl ethyl ketone. Suited for liquid scintillation studies. Can be cleared for direct observation using paraffin or almond oil. Non sterile.
